Alice is temporarily down

Alice is temporarily down due to issues with the hosting company and it is presently out of our control.

This affects all Minecraft servers.
  • Fixed Alice chat sometimes not being sent to other servers (although this was not an Alice-only issue).
  • Fixed shared chat leaking through private chat channels.
  • Fixed name highlighting not being affected when names were suffixed with punctuation characters.
  • Improved crash handling of the shared chat.

Crashing on Alice?

If you were near spawn and kept crashing, it was because of a badly placed invalid block. This has been rectified.

I have monkey patched yet another issue and now Alice is once again operational. Hopefully it's smooth sailing for now.

The server is crashing with a Java exception and we are working to fix it.

Creepers re-enabled on Alice

Creepers have been re-enabled on Alice. They will not destroy blocks but will deliver concentrated pain to your body.

Alice has been updated. Changes include:
  • Fixed diamond pipe
  • Fixed automated crafting
  • General stability improvements
  • Added AdvancedMachines
  • Replaced Buildcraft/IC conversion mod with PowerConverters
  • Removed need for custom configs
    • Delete your old /buildcraft and /config folder!

Alice is back up

Alice was down over last night Pacific time (this was not reported) due to some errors with Buildcraft pipes. It's fixed now, and there's a new update.

UPDATE (9:40 CST): Build 12w3b has been released and fixes a critical bug. You do not need to have mods installed in the /mods folder (only the jar is required).

Alice has been updated. Changes include:
