Get the launcher

You need this for Alice and the other modpacks. It installs the mods, configs, and Java for the server you join, and it downloads pack updates when we ship them.

Getting started

Install and launch

For the modpacks.

  1. Get whitelisted

    Modpacks are whitelist-only. Apply with the Microsoft account you'll play with, then come back for the download.

  2. Download for your computer

    Windows, Linux, and macOS are below. Use the highlighted file unless you already know you need another format.

  3. Sign in and launch

    Open the launcher, sign in with Microsoft, pick your pack, wait until it finishes, then hit Launch.

We'll highlight the file for the computer you're on. Most people should download that one. The other files are there if you already know you need a different format.

Windows

Installer Run the setup file and follow the prompts. This is the usual way to install on a home PC. Download 37 MB

Portable Unzip it inside an empty folder, then run the launcher EXE from there. Download 40 MB

AppImage Mark the file as executable, then double-click it or launch it from a terminal window. Download 42 MB

Installer package Installs a full offline copy of the launcher, so first launch does not need another download. Download 41 MB

Disk image Drag the app into Applications. The first launch downloads the rest of the launcher files. Download 34 MB

Not signed by Apple. The first time you open it, allow the app under Privacy and Security.

The launcher is a GitHub project

SKCraft wrote it so a community can ship its own packs, with its own branding and updates. The project page covers how that works.
