Hi Modpackteam, I want to ask whether you can make a plugin on the server, that gives normal users the ability to restart the server, if the majority agrees with that. That whould be reeeeally nice. I already have witnessed several times, how bad it is to play on a server that is lagging like hell. And if there is no mod, that can restart, the server server remains nearly unplayable. Seriously, sometimes its unbearable. I know that that is a bit hard to implement, but i know, that many people would like to have that option too. So it would be realy nice, if that were possible PS: Sorry for my bad english
It's not so much that they wouldn't want to do this, but the fact that restarting the server wont always fix the issue. If there was a poll that popped up after 14+ hours of no restart, that would be kinda cool, but it isn't always an issue that restarting can fix.
It only helps for about 10-15 minutes. What happened earlier, is that one of your solars glitched out and killed the server's tps, brought it down to zero. A vote-restart will not be implemented.
Generally, restarting the server can fix most issues, but in the past there have been issues with restarts that resulted in the MPT or Moderators having to stop the server and take it offline until an issue is resolved to prevent rollback, chunk or player data corruption, etc. Because of that reason alone, I sincerely doubt that a plugin like this would ever be considered, and personally I would oppose it if it was. EDIT: It seems flutter has already tagged this as DENIED, and I agree.
