Power conversion, RF to EU lack of lag-free options...

    So, there's no reasonable method of converting large amounts of RF to EU without lagging the server.

    I had, for a while, 56 MFSU's with >200 HV connectors converting RF to EU to feed them, and the lag it generated was absurd. I went from the the near bottom of the lag list, straight to the top. I find that RF=>EU is still my bottleneck, but I don't want to ruin anyone's experience on the server.

    Is there any way we could consider dropping in a mod like Power Converters? I think it has no worldgen or ores or anthing. AFAIK it doesn't change any existing recipes, so it should be close to plug and play. Miss Potatoes has volunteered to tweak the recipes to be more in line with expert mode, should it be necessary. What does everyone think about this possibility?

    I'm all for it. HV cables are easy to make, but a massive pain to use.

    I know I'm necroposting here, but I am wondering if this might get a second look at. I'm currently at a point where I have set up a machine that gives me a lot of EU from my creative energy cell - unfortunately, since chunkloaders were removed and disabled, I can't teleport back to my base without crashing the server or at least making the server time out. I'm currently on a crappy laptop which means I now can't even log in to my base. The lag it causes is pretty immense. This also means I can't turn it off, even though I did build an off switch into the device. If there was a less laggy mod to convert RF to EU, I could disable this machine and not have this issue. Would also be more server friendly since I tend to teleport to other players often to lend a helping hand and teleporting back to my base would cause less intense server load.
