I have a setup with 2 magma crucibles and 6 magmatic engines (you may have heard/seen the design) with waterproof gold piping to route all the lava to the engines and the four themal generators which are surrounding the mfe on the top bottom and both sides. For some reason the Thermal generators are consuming lava and the blocks are updating by lighting up showing they are doing all that, however the energy is not building up in the mfe or generators. I dont know if this isn't working for you guys but I play tested it offline and it works so it's gotta be something disabled or not working with the server. Any ideas as to what is going on would be extremely helpful!
