My work laptop is a Dell E6540, it's a little similar to your suggestion but laptops like this have terrible cooling if you want to game with it. (Even though it handles WoW at med/high with 40+ fps in the middle of a bussy area).

This is an expensive laptop, but on the back it has 2 places where air can flow out. (This one, Asus G751JT) is around 1200 pounds in my country. Im not saying to get it, but look at cooling if you want a decent gaming laptop. (Better cooling also often means a better system when it comes to laptops)

Ok good advice m'Lord. I'm gonna Skype with the person and see if they are going to get it. Well in 12 hours of course. Need sleep 'nite.
