Just a note: 1.4.6 creates an error which both crashes clients and locks down the server, including commands such as /stop (but chat still works). 1.4.7 resolves this issue, and is compatible with 1.4.6, as it is only 1 class file. You pointed a fact: When Alice will update, it will be on an old version of minecraft compared to the version that will be the official one! The way of bukkit, Forge should really have a specific API providing mods compatibility over the time!
