Okay, I've been having this problem since yesterday morning, where I would select the config, and click "play" and it would startup like normaly, but crash just after the Mojang screen. But it seemed to be solved after I forced a game update. But then it showed up again this morning. What's strange is, that when i tried it the first time, it worked. So after I try and fix one of the (to no avail) another one crops up and screws everything up. And no I have not added anything to the config to cause this.
This looks like a config issue that originates in IC2. I dunno why this may be happening other than maybe a bad download of the config file which is possible but highly improbable... You may just try to force update again, otherwise something is seriously screwed up.
That's the thing, i HAVE to force update to even be able to play on the server. But then this happens again after a while. I've force updated 3 times just to fix this.
:/ Have you tried making the IC2 config file read-only. It may be a writing problem with the config. This may cause a bigger issue so I'm not sure if that will help but try anything right?
I have not, But I'll try it and see if it happens again. If it does not work, I'll just live with it until the next client update.

:/ No, not the issue. The exception was a 404 for hard drives, not a file locking issue, which means that the first instance was not what was interfering with the second instance. It seems as if there are still files missing from Shad's files. May be a side effect of files missing from the distribution server and of deleting your copy of said files. But without a knowledge of the distribution server and details this is all speculation, but nevertheless, bad speculation is bad.
Both deleting the .skcraftalice and just forcing an update both yield the same results, A crash sometimes and sometimes not.
You never got any shit from your computer about your HDD space too, right? It also could be other processes trying to use the same file at once without so much as a proper check for this. Create another instance for your alt and use both separately and see if that works for the moment. Nope never got anything about my HDD. That's awesome, I'll definitely try it with MultiMC when I can stop it giving me an error about my java path and not being able to find the lwjgl file. But thanks!
Oh yeah I never included that with the MultiMC version you should be able to just right click on the instance, press [typed]Change LWJGL Version[/typed] and choose the latest one from that list.
That looks worse than my vomit. Right Click on the instance and select [typed]Settings[/typed] then select the [typed]Java[/typed] tab then check all the boxes that say [typed]Use defaults?[/typed] If it still gives you crap about LWJGL, just put this into your bin folder.
I did it, There's a folder called "lwjgl" In it, create a folder named "2.8.5" in this new one, put the following files (from the BIN folder of minecraft): - jinput.jar - lwjgl.jar - lwjgl_util.jar And also the folder "natives" that also goes in your newly created folder "2.8.5" placed in the folder "lwjgl" I tried to stay as clear as possible.
