About the replacement of quarries, the only thing I would use is a filler set in "clear mode".
It will do pretty much the same thing, the only problem is that it won't do the whole chunk, only a predefined area!

Fillers are going to get a BIG nerf in a coming update to BC so I don't think they're an option..

I am not trying to bash GregoriousT. I am just placing my opinion and rationale as to why I don't want any recipes (other than IC2) to be changed.

Okay, well i get that much. But gregtechs main purpose is to make recipes and items harder to get to prevent them from being OP, but the fact is the only recipe in any other mod that is the blockbreaker recipe.

Fillers are only going to drop blocks for one second, so I don't think that is a very good idea, unless you got something to pick them up, which will still be a bad idea.

This is the idea that I've been hoping everyone (but always not some select few) would use if I disable quarries, because most people do not know how to build frames that well, fillers are going to not be used properly, and this setup leaves makes mining to still be a quite fun (and most importantly, very practical) part of the game.

Unfortunately, the only mod I know that has ender pouches is EE3. Does EnderStorage have ender pouches now?

I am considering the latter two, but I am not sure about the first one.

No you're correct. Originally it was planned to be disabled but I've since then removed that.

Not bashing you, but it also modifies the forestry bronze and (iirc) some TE things.

Yea, EnderChests has EnderPouches which I will definitely be using mostly to prevent losing things to lava, etc. and to keep invemtoies clear.

That's a very nice addon list you have there. I wouldn't mind not having quarries. There's one thing I'd love to see on the server: Gravitation Suit.

Basically the wole idea behind the ender pouch is that it's a portable ender chest. It's linked to an ender chest with the same color code. If you make the enderchest the input chest for your sorting system, if will (probabely, depending on the setup) get pulled out and sorted while you continue mining. The sorting system does need a chunkloader though...

[EDIT] Ali that's not my idea, many ppl know about this.

Apparenly it doesn't :( but placing a enderschest down, opening it, dump stuff in it, break it, and pick it up isn't that hard is it?

Yeah EnderStorage comes with its own Ender pouches. With the chests you can use a diamond to claim it private not sure about pouches, but if that was your idea for the backup then damn that is fine by me! I think the ender pouch idea would be fun to go mining than making my own quarry ^^

No, it does. If you look at the description on CodeChicken's forum post, it says things about EnderPouches, but I'm not sure if it actually implemented.

Good (or bad) news! I spent like 3 hours (I am currently in a lot of pain) looking through like 45 pages of mods on the MC forums so I have 26 new mods to consider and about 12 more to consider at some point in the future. Some of these mods may replace a few currently on the list (namely ExtraBiomesXL) and many of them are kind of unknown.

Some of them are server-side only and just for helping me run the server, but some others are cool, pending actual testing.

If it's not too late, I'd like to suggest OpenCCSensors. Thou it doesn't look like much has been done from release day, allot has. See the wiki entry for more information.

I remember OpenCCSensors to be really hard to use. (main reason I programmed CPSensors)

If you didn't read anything, then yeah it is. Otherwise, it's the most simple CC-addon I've used.
