I wonder what will happen to the people's base that are made up of Basalt and Marble when Redpower gets removed...
Basalt could be switched out for the biomes o plenty volcanic rock with a simple block change. The only thing I shall miss is frame doors
Like mentioned before I think that it might be better to give the players, who wants to save their progress, a storage room to save their machines, resources, etc. After the update they can start with their stuff and only had to re-build their base instead of starting with nothing. (That's more like a compromise between the first and the second vote)
Yeah, but AE Drives can only hold up to 63 items :/ When you have a lot of items than you would have to craft more Drives. That wouldn't be a problem for 2/3 of the players, but those who can't afford AE yet will have the bad card.
That still changes almost nothing, since you still would have to craft those and not everyone can afford that
It seems like this needs to be repeated on every page because ppl don't like to read the OP or other replies that ask the same question.
I would hate to lose all my stuff that I currently have. I'm just starting to get some end game materials, iridium and some other stuff. If we do have to start over from scratch it wouldn't be the end of the world (not pun intended) but it happens and it will. I think the only thing that I would miss from RP2 is the Red Alloy Wire being able to stick to walls and ceilings, especially for teleporters from my house to my basement. Just my 2 cents.
If we were to reset, or even jsut port the world. Losing RP2 functionality, would be a little hard to get use to. But I've been messing around with MFR's programmable rednet controller. And I have to say, once you get the hang of it, it's really awesome. Granted it's not the old fashioned wire, but it's more like AE cable, with the look and how it stays in the air (much like jacketed cable). But glitch has said it better then me.
What about all the other things in Redpower like Flax, Logic Gates, Automations (we'd need to use BC) and Frames? I don't care much for the Rednet wire as that can be done a bunch of different ways now.
