Update on server

    The good news is that we are now in control of the new server, but we have not yet moved everything over. This will happen over the period of the next few days if all continues to go to plan.

    Alice and Vincent will be run on the current server for as much as possible until the move, but you will have to live with unbearable lag at times until we execute the move.

    As of writing, Alice and Vincent are both UP.

    Here are the new server stats:
    • Intel Core i7-2600 Quad-core with HT (3.40 Ghz, 8 threads)
    • 32 GB DDR3 RAM

    So wait whats the host called?, all i know from Gknova's bitching is that its german and thats about it.

    Hetzner is the host and i am bitching about it because the location of the server gives me and the some of the us guys on the server lag

    I am still open to moving the servers but, be aware that it is ridiculously expensive to host in the US.

    ping results from around the world:

    The worst result I got from there was 600ms from Beijing, China

    Note that any additional ping you encounter is due to the connection between you and the internet.

    You missed the '6' at the end of the IP in the link.
    Also noticed, that besides China (because we all know they route traffic through filters), worst ping is Australia.

    You answered your own question.
