In computercraft 1.4 turtles can have customized fuel costs. Could turtles be enabled if they would require a large amount of fuel? Perhaps 1 coal/10 seconds of movement/digging? If so, turtles would have quite a huge price, but also quite an amazing value Leave suggestions, and I understand why they are disabled, maybe like that they would be useful ;D (Leave a suggestion/opinion down below)
Well even if turtles were re-enabled, they would still cost quite a bit with a normal computer taking a diamond block to make. So if there was a much higher fuel cost, there really would be no point in using them since if would probably use more resources then you'd get (from using them)
Computers and Turtles seem to work better in large numbers (i.e. GPS Towers for Turtles). A need for this might possibly require lowering the price of computers closer to their original value (i.e. a single diamond instead of diamond block), but their power in comparison to the RedPower 2 computer makes the RP2 one seem absolutely useless and overpriced. My suggestion, if Turtles are enabled, lower both the price of RP2, and CC computers (still should be higher than their original price).
Not to mention the RP2 computer uses an outdated stack-based programming language which IMO, is inefficient compared to CC.
From the point of view of performance for the server, RP2 computers are much, much, much, much more server-friendly. And because they emulate an actual computer, dividing by zero does not cause the server to crash. Annoyingly however, they can be a b***h to program.
