    How can forestry, an addon for buildcraft, come out BEFORE buildcraft?

    Forestry was never an addon for Buildcraft, it just heavily supports Buildcraft.

    Just because the Minecraft server process isn't running (or crashed), doesn't mean the whole server is down EDIT: meaning you can ping it

    The server box can be up and online, but the Minecraft server process itself not running. Hence you can Ping the IP, and get a response, but not connect to the Minecraft server.

    Make sense?

    Or maybe it's not something someone like you could explain.

    Because there's too much crap on the current one? Alot of people have been wanting to reset but it's still unclear if they plan to reset Vincent or scrap Vincent and bring back James

    We should get something totally different than Vincent. I would like to see a competition server of sorts but there doesn't seem to be enough players to really support something like (hungergames, walls, prison, whateva) that so maybe some kind of abstract survival server? I'm just spewing ideas...I also have no idea what James was could someone enlighten me?

    Yeah, james was a creative server that next to no-one played on anymore so it was pretty much put out of service.

    But I do like the idea of prison sever, or something of the sorts. i think it would be a great change to the survival aspects of alice (and vincent) to something like a prison or event server (yes i know there was one) at least until alice gets reset and/or a decision is made for vincent/james. Buuuuuuut i think it just me so ill just leave this here.

    My interest in Vincent was mostly just to have a place to build while Alice approach's it's reset. A competitive server would be nice. My preference though would be for a creative server where players could compete on designs for Alice structures, like spawn, shops, cities, etc.
