Can anyone Help me Setup a Tekkit server?

    Hello Everyone,

    I have been trying to setup a Tekkit server for the past month now Can anyone help me?
    I Can setup a Normal Minecraft Server, but no a modded one. Do I need Bukkit?

    No one would ever help you set up a tekkit server, period.

    Setting up the server isn't that hard... Hard is keep the server alive, with all the mods updated and working! :p

    We don't even use tekkit so I don't exactly know why you're asking here. Maybe try asking here or try searching for a tutorial on Google.

    just download the tekkit server and unzip and run the port foreward it

    Tekkit is useless, it is hated by mod makers because they don't get money from making their mods. Some mod makers hate it so much that when their mod was in it, they added malcious code to it so it would detect if the game was tekkit/technic, and if it was the mod would go all evil on the user. That's why we have our own mod pack.

    They make money off it. It says so right on the launcher, so I don't think the modders would do things like
    And the technic/tekkit people got permission from every mod maker whos mod is in Technic/Tekkit.

    Wrong. SirSengir (Foretry) did actually put in malicious code that corrupted Tekkit/Technic worlds because of permissions.

    Exactly, gk knows that. But since forestry isn't in the technic/tekkit pack anymore, it doesn't count.
