I'm willing to bet that Google will eventually have their own national (or regional at first) WiFi network built around Fiber. Every box that's included (storage, router, and TV) has a router inside. With enough popularity, you can get around the carriers when it comes to cell phones. The only problem is privacy and access to the private networks, but I'm sure there's a way to get around that.
Wtf? It's $100/mo for me currently for 1/20th of a gigabit and $70 for a gigabit with Google. #TimetoMove
I first saw this and was screaming about how awesome it was and then i saw it was for Kansas. I wouldn't mind a world ruled by google either
I don't like the fact that Google Fiber's TOS states that you may not host a server on the connection provided. What if (hypothetically, I don't even live in the USA) I want to host a private Minecraft server with friends?
