I'm curious if any of you folks are/were members of the armed forces, any advice? Lastly, anyone who is considering joining that would be interested in joining via the buddy program to atleast have one friend throughout training?
Currently in the lengthy process of enlistment with the US Air Force. Your medical history will be the death of you if you're honest about it.
Not mine. I never get sick. SuperImmunityMan. Bet I die from a falling ice cream truck or something though.
Luckily it seems me and cran share an immune system. I've only ever had one dislocated/broken wrist a small car accident and the usual childhood sicknesses and mild seasonal allergies. All that is holding me back from going today is I'm a tad over weight. But 3 weeks of hard dieting and working myself into a coma will cut that out right fast. Oh and probably the Army cranberry, I've only got a GED and no college time so USAF (preferred branch) and Navy are a no go. Plus Marines are batshit crazy even by my standards.
I'm a generally healthy person, but for a long time I was drinking sodas like nuts, and the caffeine caused some chest pressure nearly four years ago, when I told them this in december, I was instantly disqualified and have had to have two different doctors tell them I'm perfectly okay, and now I'm still waiting on a medical waiver.
Fucking A it is. Sadly I'm not drinking anymore until I've finished BCT. You ass tempting me with that shit..
Even fitness freaks will say one can/bottle of soda a week isn't really going to have an impact as long as you're keeping your workout schedule and regular diet.
