Desktop on WiFi (FiOS)*: Download: 4.86 MB/s Upload: 10.10 MB/s *note that I pay for 15 MB/s down and 10 MB/s up; this was on a single random Speedtest Verizon LTE (Galaxy Nexus): Download: 12.14 MB/s (I've seen this easily go over 20 MB/s) Upload: 5.88 MB/s
Think you self luck cran the internet at my school is about Download:3.00MB/s Upload:0.30MB/s And my school prides themselves on the technology they host.
my school internet is so slow if you log in about 5 of their computers they all error because they cant connect to the XP
Pay for 1500/256kbps - get ~1200/200kbps, though sometimes it gets down to 200kbps symmetrical (I think due to congestion at Exchange).
Craps... Brazil Sucks! Download MAX: 1,4 MB/s Upload MAX: 150 KB/s And the worst is I pay about US$ 40! D:
I think some people may be confusing kbps/Mbps with KB/s and MB/s (either that or I just have terrible internet). There IS a difference. To me that kind of speed is amazingly fast. Almost 10 times faster than the maximum I can get in my area without paying $200AUD/month (~$210USD) more than what I do now.
Hmm... Well i really hadn't thought that someone could made a mistake with the units... By the way now it makes more sense! haha i thougth my internet was expensive! thank you!
Nice to see my phone and home internet holding up so far... Sadly they cost around $30 and $100 a month, respectively Edit: I am not lucky enough for $10/month Internet...
These are my results from using speedtest.net: The server is about 40miles away. I pay £7.50 per month to get between 11-14Mbps but I do live next to a woodland area and I'm not the only person using the internet when I ran the test. I'm also the furthest person away from the router (using WiFi on laptop). The £7.50 is unlimited download as well, and by "unlimited" it means truly unlimited, there's no cap at all.
you are using BT infinity... im using BT infinity 2 ^^ the max connection speed for that beast of a connection is.... 53MB/s....
I'm actually on Sky Internet which is basically the standard version of BT internet before they released Infinity. I'm supposed to be getting improved speeds at some point but I have no idea when.
I can't take this any more! You guys are killing me with how fast your Internetz are! 8 years down the track, and I still won't have faster Internet; http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1666119 My area will probably be the VERY last place to get Fibre in Australia. *sulks*
