not if it's MV, gold cables are the best for MV except for expensive diamond costing glass fibre cable.

You can make diamonds out of cobble+eu and coal. They are not very expensive...

If I wanted diamonds I'd make diamonds. I have stacks of UU Matter. <_< As it is I'm draining the Nether, power overruns aren't a concern, such as they are.

I've also found very few people acccctually understand how IC2's EU packet system works as far as energy loss is concerned. All they see if the loss per block and that's where they stop, not taking into account packet size, amount of packets, etc. My power loss is negligible, a mere 1EU out of 128, or .78% of each packet, per 2.5 blocks. The distance isn't that great.

The longest distance being 16 blocks, I'm losing 6.4 EU's out of a 128 EU packet for that machine, less for the others.

I cringe a bit every time when I see glass fibre cable used instead of tin cable.
