If you didn't disable IC2 sounds, the IC2 sounds memory leak is the possible cause. There are 2 solutions for that: 1. Disable IC2 sounds 2. Update JLWGL
My FPS has barely been affected (though maybe a slight increase of ~10fps), but since moving away from LagTown, I haven't disconnected or experienced severe lag once (except when I returned to LagTown to collect my stuff). Glad I moved away, and I hope this encourages others who have the same problem to do so to. I still have the issue of disconnecting when I return to LagTwon even when I have OptiFine, SignLag Fix, IC2 sounds disabled, and Gamebooster enabled.
So... should we all move away from Main Island now? A different idea would be to ban bee-keeping inside the town... but i guess that's too hard to do. I'll try to update JLWGL and see if that helps.
This is a reply to both madness and toffee. Madness, it's NOT beekeeping that crashes the server. It's the habitat locator so no need to ban beekeeping. Toffee, even if we removed forestry,we can't add computercraft. It's not a matter of space for mods. Ids can easily be reassigned for compatibility. It's the fact that computercraft has a memory leak when it's destroyed while in use. Basically, it can easily crash the server. I would like computercraft too for the turtles. Their so cute with their mini-picks
its a real shame bout the turtles. would love to make a in game time digital clock with computercraft and RP2 lights. looking forward to playing on server soon.
You can do that, Toffee with Redpower. Heck, you can do it with vanilla if your leet enough. But, computer craft can make the circuits more compact
Someone on the server said not to use beealyzer or the habitat-thingy because that crashes the server. Now it's dead again. God, i hate these kind of people.
Yeah, both those things crash the server . Sk could always make them uncraftable but for the people who already have them and are crashing the server, oh wells. Sk should make them uncraftable thou to prevent new players from using it thou
Do you really think I have sounds enabled or sounds somehow affect perfomance just in 1 place? I don't believe you are so naive P.S. I have disabled whole sound system, not only IC2.
1. Yes, there is a known memory leak related to how IC2 plays sounds that happens when you're moving away from a working group of machines, causing massive client lag. (managed to replicate it consistently over multiple players, including solutions.) 2. Seems like you didn't disable the sound option in the IC2 config, only in minecraft itself.
1. I have a lot of memory and even if I keep sounds enabled "workin group" can not play more soundSourceLimit=32 sources oa once. Massive lag, really? Also, how it affects my video subsystem performance? Moreover, how can it affects performance just after I login and stands still? (you told - "that happens when you're moving away") 2. Seems like you didn't read my post or didn't understand it. Ofc, i have soundsEnabled=false in config.
im confused.... i haven't seen this post till today, and i've been using the beealyzer, seems to work fine to me, server never crashes... does it cause massive lag or something or...?
It causes errors which can crash the server. Not always, but don't use them until sk says otherwise please.
