We're planning a modded skyblock planned to run in addition to Alice, but we won't be creating the modpack ourselves this time around. If you have suggestions for a name for the new server (i.e. Vincent, Alice, James, etc.) as well as a modpack that we could use, feel free to post on this thread.
Skyblock modpack that I've been playing off and on for awhile. Great collection of mods that have a small learning curve that is fun. Seemed stable enough and haven't had any bugs or issues. https://www.atlauncher.com/pack/SkyFactory
Elizabeth Sophie They are my suggestions. Agrarian Skies is kinda nice but its very easy to complete in my opinion, only offers a few days of play sadly.
Path's Elizabeth suggestion is nice. I think either FTB Infinity Evolved Skyblock or SkyFactory would be a good pack.
I'll just throw in Ashley, Samuel, and Ivan. Never played a skyblock map, so I don't know any of the packs.
I am going to say either Aldent, Estelle, Wallace, Maisie. Anyways for a modpack I think the FTB one is fine. Afaik there are plenty of other ones as well tho
Currently playing through the FTB IE:S pack. It is tough as nails and may not be everybody's thing. It is pure infinity evolved expert mode. I am loving it though. Even getting your first bucket is a challenge, and you have to level through all the magic mods at the same time as they are all heavily intertwined. I suggest the name Bob.
Me too. It really is extremely tough and is really, really rewarding once you start progressing. ExCompressum really makes your life easier as you can sift and hammer compressed cobble/gravel/sand. One thing I wasn't particularly fond of is that the progression tech tree is forced through IC2 but we can live with that.
I have heard a lot of positive reviews of SkyFactory, however it seems pretty complicated to setup. I also found SkyBlock Unleashed. It seems pretty fun but I am yet to test it out. Name's been decided by sk and its Ivan. We'll probably look into skyblock unleashed. Something being hard to setup doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't do it.
I've been playing the FTB skyblock for about 2 weeks. It been super fun. Just the right amount of frustration when I hit a road block. Then the satisfaction when a goal is reached and a new path is opened up. I kinda miss the monument from the original FTB skyblock.
I played through it to semi-completion (got to the creative pool almost) and I can say that its not very hard, but definately very time consuming. Expect easily 250+ hours if you want to get through all of it solo.
