I can't grow an ironwood from mod Highlands. I was trying to wait and use bone meal, tried to use Hoe Of Growth, but it doesn't work. In singleplayer I tried to grow it in creative mode, and it worked, however when I changed my mode to "Survival" I couldn't grow it, even after using "Hoe Of Growth" for 1500 times on it and 512 of bone meal. I tried to find information about it, but it's written that "All trees can be grown with saplings and bonemeal". And my question: can you grow it for me? (in creative mode). It's not for wood, I just want to try to build a small house in it Coordinates: x:-1906; z: -610; y: 87
No, it needs only one sapling (at least in "creative"). As, for example, "sacred rubber sapling" from which I can grow a huge rubber tree. The only difference between them is beauty. Rubber tree seems worse then ironwood tree.
A little bit of searching seems to show this is a bug. It might need to be placed in a 2x2 or 3x3 or something formation in Survival. Maybe test this on your singleplayer world...
I tried to place 2x2, 3x3,4x4,5x5 but it doesn't work And just for statistics Sacred rubber tree Height 71 - 4 times by Hoe of Growth Mega rubber tree Height 59 - 4 times by Hoe of Growth Redwood tree Height 40 - 104 times by Hoe of Growth Ironwood tree Height 49 - can't grow at all
I also was going to build witchery altar there. But after that I tried some magic from witchery in singleplayer and understood, that Thaumcarft is still better for me. So, I'll probably make altar in the tree, but not use, just for beauty. And if you want to build a powerful altar, then you will still have to plant trees (already in the tree) and probably make a garden.
