Just downloaded it. New PC. Fx 6300 R9 280x 8gb ram 64bit win8 error log is this: The game is running. Please wait. Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit. Invalid maximum heap size: -Xmx4096M The specified size exceeds the maximum representable size. Process ended with code: 1 I feel like its a really simple mistake and i just don't see it, pls help.
In launcher options, manually set the path to 64-bit Java. It looks like it's using 32-bit Java and 32-bit applications cannot use that much memory.
I got it to launch, but I decreased the amount of ram it's allowed. I'd really prefer to run the client 64bit rather than 32 for the extra speed.
I said in jvm arguements: java d64 and i get this error The game is running. Please wait. Error: Could not find or load main class java Process ended with code: 1
It should look something more along the lines of this. Code: C:/Program Files/Java/jre1.8.0_60/bin/javaw.exe
When you download the java 64 bit from Oracle. Install it. Then go to your Start Menu Search and type in "Configure Java". Go to the "Java" tab. Then click on "View" Disable all previous versions of java except the latest one you just downloaded. Copy the path of that java, like this. That is the path to your java installation. Note: the path I provided earlier was just the path to my installation, it may or may not be different for other people.
OH. Program Files (x86) -- wait no its in both deleted the on in x86 I still had path to the java in x86 right OK IT LAUNCHED NOW
Unfixed now, completely renewed everything and it wont work again. Did exact same thing, put path for 64bit java in the thing
