If only I had not spent all my money on hookers and poker and coke and drinks and hookers... Oh.. Wait...
I'm piss-poor right now and wasn't able to buy a single game this month... you can't imagine my rage and sadness because quite a few that I really wanted were on sale Oh well, at least I have food and internet.
I was never able to love Skyrim like a lot of people do. I don't like the game at all honestly, dunno why..
Here's some pics of my new PC. Intel Core i5-4690K; EVGA GTX 980 Ti Superclocked; ASUS Maximus VII Gaming Mainboard; 2x8 GB Corsair Vengeance Low-Profile RAM; Noctua NH-D15 fan; 2x Samsung 850 Evo SSD (250 and 500 GB); EVGA Supernova NEX 750W fully modular PSU. The case is a Phanteks Enthoo Primo. Sadly I forgot to snap a full picture, next time I get my PC out of its corner I'll take another. It's all black with windows, smooth alu front, and a red LED lightpipe on the edge. Comes with four case fans and tons of screws. Ewww shitty cable management. But everything's secured so that's nice. That's still my old 120GB SSD in there, dunno what I'm gonna do with it yet. Holy cow this fan is huge. Good thing I used low-profile RAM because the fan completely covers all slots. It's great quality though, I get sub 30°C on idle and I can barely hear it even under heavy load. I didn't overclock yet though, I'm gonna do that in like two years to keep my PC high-end. I always wanted a graphics card that is the absolute best for the current point in time. Fulfilled myself a lifelong wish there. Sadly this card doesn't fit visually with its gray casing and green lights. Perhaps I can at least find a way to mod red lights, or turn the LEDs off. But whatever, I can max out GTA V on 1440p. I had to label my SSDs so I wouldn't confuse them #firstworldproblems Ew windows... don't worry, I already have Arch Linux up and running - I'm writing from it now! This is my current desk setup, still tidy - it was cluttered with stuff the very next day. Left screen is a Dell UltraSharp 25'' 1440p monitor, right screen is some LG 1080p 24''. The right mouse is a Logi G600, it's only for WoW and I don't play WoW during summer so I put it away for now. Left mouse is a Roccat Kone XTD, which is a great mouse, despite being the inferior Laser variant. (Optical sensor is actually better, don't trust the ads.) Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate, with Cherry MX Brown switches. Great quality, heavy and rugged, albeit somewhat overpriced. Has a magnetically attached ruler instead of pop-out stands. Yes it's a blank keyboard. No I can't touch type properly yet. I took three times longer than usual to write this due to all the typos. I already installed a training program that I'm going to use daily from now on.
I don't even have Windows 8 on there currently because I removed my old SSD, and I didn't have a DVD drive yet and thus couldn't install Win 8. I'm definitely going to upgrade though, if only to get rid of the Metro start menu... Also, y u no snip the quote?
Nah, I ain't buying Windows ever again, I'll use a free upgrade from Win 8. I installed that now, got an old DVD drive from a friend - he got my old PC but the drive was stuck... we literally couldn't get it out of the case, so he gave me his drive. Now that I'm actually using UEFI boot it's super fast to start, only 9 seconds till the login screen. (I get 7 seconds on Linux though.) Now what do I do with this spare 120GB SSD?
