y u necro threads... Oh well, since we're at it already, might as well continue. I think at this point it just doesn't really matter anymore what we're doing with Alice. It's basically dead. Been online a few times over the last days and there were only like three people, including myself. What Path and Toni are saying is right, a 1.4.7 reboot would attract some attention for like a week and then quickly die down because people start missing the nice things from Minecraft 1.7 and the newer mods, and since it's Alice it would still be a mess. Perhaps less messy than current Alice, I dunno about that, but if nobody is going to play it after a week anyway then it's not worth switching. Best to keep current Alice. What could work is a third-party modpack like TPPI. That one is managed by an enthusiastic team that gets things done, has good balance so things aren't OP, and is a medium-size pack that's not too heavy on servers. If we used that then the MPT would have loads less work, only thing left to do is block things that lag the server too much, and edit recipes if necessary.
Yeah pengwin had a ideaish challenge modpack idea thing but it just never happened. but i think that's what people would really be interested in. (me at least )
