A site has been selected for OB, and construction has begun. I have chosen Kurisubrooks as my second, and he's taking it upon himself to add members to the team. The base is located in a lavender biome, relatively close to a magical forest. I attempted to find a lavender biome close to a cherry blossom biome, but I just couldn't find one. The general layout will be much bigger than last map, more distributed to cut down on individual lag. The base will have a hub area, with portals leading to spawn, the nether, and the corrupted sector. Spurs, probably lined with road or concrete, will ferry people from the hub to various satellite sites, each focusing on either a mod or a purpose (i.e. thaumcraft site, ore processing site, power site, etc). Obviously, some sites by their very nature will have some overlap in functionality, and in all likelihood ME networking will be placed throughout the OB. Building the hub takes priority, as the portals will help ferry people/supplies to and from OB, easing the rest of construction, and anyone artistically inclined is encouraged to lend a hand. At the same time, people that have ideas for potential satellite sites are encouraged to speak to me or kurisubrooks, so that locations can be plotted out sufficiently far from the hub. As construction has only just begun, a lot of things are going to be in flux, so I'd like to ask for calm and patience on everyone's part while we get the bulk of this up front work done. Obviously, there's going to be a flood of petitions as word spreads through the community, and stuff invariably falls through the cracks, so don't take it personally.
