Since I have been away for a little while chiming in and out, I am not sure what problems lie within the server. As far as I know we had a problem with implicit chunk loading but I may be wrong.
So, like, are we calling it as a community here, or what? I mean, it'd suck to give up on the server, but if there's not enough people, the server's busted, or the admins aren't in a position to do anything, someone should make a ruling here. If we're calling it, does anyone know alternate communities running similar builds?
I will be off of my holiday soon maybe I can help try and get the server back up. In my eyes its not time for the community to die but as you are already aware sk is busy at this moment in time.
Interested, I was. Able, I was not. I literally can't play on Alice. Well, of course because it's offline, but either way it doesn't matter because 1.6 Deux uses so much bandwidth that I cannot play at all. With 1.6 Une I could at least play using mobile tethering... only for a week per month because then my 3GB of data would be consumed. With 1.5 I could still play normally with my shitty landline.
I'm working on a new modpack for giggles. I would like you to be able to play on your landline, so at some point in the next few days could you test it?
Sure, I love to try new things. But can you compress file size for the pack download as much as possible? Say, with an alternative download as a 7zip-packaged .7z file? The smaller the download, the best it will be for my internet. 100 MB take more than half an hour to download. 7zip can do some really crazy compression.
