I am picking out parts for a gaming pc. I need to stay under 700$. Would this work? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/mrlucky72/saved/cqpD4D
Will this play bf4 on ultra settings over 60 fps? I see that the gtx 970 will, not sure about the rest of the system. Thanks for the help!
This is the guidelines I usually use, start with the Sweet Spot and customize from there. http://techreport.com/review/27026/tr-september-2014-system-guide
The motherboard in the list is outdated/not in stock. What are some alternatives? Also would it be worth getting the Asus R9 280 for 220$ instead of the gtx 970? What should I upgrade if I do get the R9 280 instead?
Ok I'll keep the gtx 970. What about the motherbaord? Also is there a way to use my pre-existing intel networking card? I have to use Wifi sadly. Edit: If the GTX 970 ever goes back into stock xD
I have a gtx770 and i'm quite happy with it. But I recall the 970 not being really much more expensive, so if you have the coin an there is stock, sure, go ahead.
The 970 is a great graphics card, good choice also i'd recommend getting a slightly bigger powersupply, atleast 500W if you can, aswell changing your memory to a dual-slot configuration to allow more bandwidth for your ram (instead of having 1x8GB module, get 2x4GB modules) you were talking about changing your motherboard in the comments, it's a bit more expensive but this one has great reviews, (try to find it in your country) http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=28693
I'm not sure why everyone thinks you need a massive PSU all the time. A 970 and i7 would most likely run on a 300w PSU.
Ok, what about the networking card for wifi? How much do I need to spend on one? World this one work? I know that ethernet is better but it is sadly not an option. Edit: Here is my new list, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/HCJ499
If I were you I would rethink the whole thing. You will be disappointed with an AMD cpu without a doubt. You have a great GPU there and a shitty CPU seems a waste.
I was waiting until someone said something negative xD. Anyway, what cpu should I get? Edit: Is this better? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/4vjVLk
I'd go with something like an i5 4440 its only a little more than an i3. That way you get 4 physical cores opposed to 4 logical cores.
This is the latest list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Penagwin/saved/GgFCmG Does everything look good?
So is that more bang for buck than my one which I'm getting in 2-3 months? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/ausoME0613/saved/ EDIT: Is it worth getting a 280x over a 280?
I say it looks great but then again I'm a Huge noob at all this so my opinion really isn't worth much.... edit:now that I think about it my opinions worth less than yours lol
