Due to recent arguments of single-leadership positions, we're reverting back to how OpenBase management was back in 1.6, announcing the revive of Team OpenBase. *cough* http://strawpoll.me/2815374/ *cough* There is no "leader" of Team OpenBase, instead it consists of multiple members, (like a council), who vote on making changes and decisions for OpenBase. This is how OpenBase made large changes back in 1.6, and we will be continuing the team here with OpenBase 2. (With some new members of-course) Members of Team OpenBase Include: SoulExpression [Original Founder of OpenBase] Labtech41 (notify kurisu of changes) Notable Donators: dhd_zeke_ theangrytomato Siioh BlueJosh27 Pathaleon LordXyroz Ninja_Cum Would you like to be part of Team OpenBase? Notify Labtech41 in-game, or via the forums.
So what you're saying is your going to build a laggy area just outside spawn and abandon it in a month or two gg
What we're saying is, we're going to build a laggy area outside of Spawn, and have multiple people handle it over the next couple of months, until Alice 1.8 atleast. And come on, it's not like Spawn isn't laggy enough as it is.. What's a few more blocks gonna do? :3
I feel like we're a microcosm of the UN. Everyone argues, good people get ignored, and nothing gets done.
I'll consider contributing once I see some sort of progress to it. I have heard Team OB and Path have had a little clash
I'm talking about how they built it in 1.6 only to have it die from lack of maintenance, only reason I got on was to fix the crap that stopped working. If you're not going to support it for the life of the pack, why even bother?
If I was a part of OB16 I would have fixed things hat didn't work. I would only have stopped support if I was not actually able to log into alice. Rest assured, OB17 will be supported under the conditions that I am able to go on.
Actions speak louder than words. If you have a complaint, talk it out and then HELP address the issue. Nobody's being asked to bear the weight of the server on their shoulders, and nobody should act like they are. This is a GAME, and people are treating it like it's something more than that. I'll be the first to say I'm not perfect, and I'm stupid on a great number of things, but I like being helpful when I can, and I try to fix problems without being told I have to. No matter what's been said about OB 1.6, that was then, this is now, and just because things were done a particular way, and things turned out as they did has no bearing on OB 1.7. This is a community building complex designed to help out the ENTIRE community, it should be lauded, not decried. I'm trying to ensure that things run more smoothly here, and I appreciate help from whatever the source, but I'm just one imperfect person, which is why this is a team effort, but you need to invest yourself into this project if you want to see your hopes realized. Drama helps nobody, there's soap operas for that need. Today, I'm planning on building the hub center of the OB, which will probably house the beacon, portals to the nether/corrupted sector/maybe spawn, and probably the main body of the ME network, as well as other things that occur to me. If others are already building it, or people want to chip in, then I say huzzah, the more the merrier. As a team effort, communication is essential, so please discuss things with as many people as possible before you make ANY major or significant modification to OB, so that we don't have a repeat of the other day, which frankly didn't need to happen, and didn't need to go that far. If you have questions or concerns, holla at me either here on in chat, otherwise I'll be waist deep in productive activity, because that's how I roll.
I don't think major changes should be made without the approval of more than 60% of the OB council (officially known as team OB).
