    ^ That is why I wouldn't want to work on a project like this. From a team of 10 or so people only 1 or 2 actually do work and there is little progress, once in a blue moon someone from the other 8 does a single commit and then boasts about how much of a great job they've done once the pack is live. If something breaks it's my fault because reasons. The whole community is asking for ETAs twice daily which adds to the pressure of doing a good and fast job.

    It's a thankless job. Some players are at least polite enough to say "well done MPT", but they'll start nagging on everything they don't like soon enough, even if it's a feature of a mod and the MPT isn't at fault.

    True, but why should we tell other people how to play a sandbox? Sandbox games are by definition designed to make the player able to do whatever they want to. Let people minmax if they like it. They'll be gone after 2 weeks anyway because they've broken and exploited everything there is.

    But people minmax, then complain to us that there is nothing to do. That's the issue. So if you minmax, then don't complain to us.

    I think you'r beeing a bit salty here. The main reason why these people inform you over the exploits is so they can be fixed. Last time I checked it was required by the rules to do so.

    We've covered this before, and you're still trying to rule-lawyer.

    Are you saying it would be better to not tell these things to anybody when someone finds out?

    Isn't this going a bit out of topic?

    No, we're saying it would be better to inform a moderator over PM instead of telling everyone.

    Thats what people generally do. If the moderator then confirms that its intentional behaviour, some may raise argument over merits of said decision in the forums. But generally stuff thats categorized as exploit doesn't get posted to public before conferring with a mod / admin.

    At least I don't do that and i've never seen it happen.

    Are you saying it is ethical to break a law till it no longer suits you, then inform authorities how it was broken?

    That's like pissing on my leg, and telling me it's rain.

    I don't know where you get that notion from, but I haven't used a questionable mechanic before confirming with a mod before since 1.5.2, and at that time I was rightfully called out on it beeing wrong.

    I'd like to see that as well. It's not something to post here though - I think the wiki would be well-suited for that. If I was on the wiki team (which I wanted to be months ago but nobody cared) I'd even format that and keep it updated as needed, but I'd have to get a simple plaintext list of mods for that... well, and be on the wiki team. :p

    The wiki sorely needs to be updated anyway. There's info from the 1.4 modpack on the wiki homepage while we're soon getting 1.7.

    Edit: The 1.6 modlist I spent so much time on is still linked to the old wiki as well, which is 404... y u do dis to me ;_;

    I agree with Brodolon. Also a lot in this thread is off-topic.
