I don't mean machines or anything, but the actual builds, like houses and stuff.

This is my opinion but.... What's the part of starting a new world if we just transfer everyone's builds over. Doesn't that kinda remove the point of a new world?

I agree, sometimes the past is best left alone.

    +1
I totally agree. Unless it's spawn stuff and the spawnbuild team is too lazy to remake the houses from last map.

I thought the point of a world reset was to start again with new mods, new worldgen, and starting over with machines, because, I don't know, mods get updated and break with older versions.

Mainly I want this starship I am working on transfered:

Without the machines of course, just the glass, the stone, the ladders, the lights, etc.

So starting over and such doesn't make much sense if you just transfer your builds over...

But if you just stay at your builds from the previous world you wont experience the new worldgen and you will just stay at your build and grind. Then put the machines back in the exact same spot. It's not new. It will be just like the previous world just in a new Minecraft version.

As of the current moment there are no plans to transfer builds from Alice 1.6 to Alice 1.7. Alice 1.6 Duex was the first Alice to have builds transferred, as it was just a massive overhaul to 1.6. But it's most likely a no, unless said otherwise by the boss man sk.

    Um, what?

Grind? How exactly am I going to grind with a colossal stone structure that's located 170m above sea level? I'd first have to build a tower to get up and down, and then I'd have to go mining for resources, etc.

    1. Make 900 cobble generators
    2. Hook them up to several smelters
    3. Route them into a DSU or something
    4. Get a jetpack and fly up
    5. ???
    6. PROFIT!

You guys still don't seem to get it. I start a new world, with an empty base high in the sky: how will I get there and how exactly am I at a technological advantage when I do? "Oh you won't explore" so how will I get ores or other resources to build machines? "You will grind with 900 cobble gens" yeah, I'll just do that before I've even punched a tree

We're just saying it's kinda stupid starting a new world if you just keep your previous "builds" It defeats the purpose if 100 people want their "builds" transferred over.

You're right that it doesn't make sense transferring your old builds but a unfinished build on the other hand..

Think that it is the same for unfinished build. I have a build that is done for the outside, but not from the inside, then that could be moved too. Everyone can say that he isn't done with his build to let it transfer...

Jetpack. It is your technological advantage now. Fall down on your jetpack to the bottom. Isn't that obvious?

Are you not capable of logic? I'll just materialize the jetpack out of nowhere, yes?
