    Talons, I like the idea.
I'm a big fan of the universe of Stargate, will be glad to see Atlantis-designed spawn. However it'll can be difficult for players to get to the wilderness for building their dwellings. This is the point to use Enhanced Portals and set one of them up at the spawn, and another - at the wilderness for travelling between spawn and territory for claiming.

If sk89q supports your idea, I will be glad to help with everything, what I can.
It will also be easy to transfer such spawn from one map to another if there are any world-specific changes in the modpack during the building of it.

I'd try and help with this though, I seem to be decent at building kind of natural looking underground things.

That's one of the most awesome builds I've seen so far.
I'd kill to have even a morsel of the aesthetical creativity the people who built that have, yet I still find myself building oak boxes and square underground rooms and various ugly things .
As seen in my reactor control system topic, I can make almost anything work, automate almost anything, and make things as functional, efficient, and compact as possible, but not purdy.
