Proposed Alice update

    We tried ReactorCraft extensively and found some catastrophic bugs back then. I'll see if we can look into it again.

    As posted earlier, PneumaticCraft, would be nice. Just some features that could be fun using to build with.

    Ars magicka was denied as far as I know, but would be fun. Need to use tons of time to gather up lvls and trying out different combinations for spells etc.

    Extra Cells, nice addon for AE, gives bigger disks, supports fluid, etc. Would be nice to have.

    See if there are any updates for the big mods out there. Also, potential removal of IC2: Perhaps do it when we move on to the next modpack. Used a ton of resources, time and energy to get myself that quantum armor and graviton suite. It's like throwing it in a bin.

    Update the Tubes mod.

    No sense in retyping a post I already made, so :

    The base that kevint1983 and myself built is designed and built around Rotarycraft. To remove that would essentially destroy our plans for this base, and negate a lot of time we have spent building it. For myself, the removal of this mod would be about the worst thing you could do.

    Only other thing I have to add is this: the Rotarycraft extractor is considered a major milestone achievement on this server, and almost every well established base has one.

    Since I'm not porting redpower 2, would a mod for a multiblock structure to hold power be of any use? This has been on my bucket list for a long time now. The structure itself would contain very few tile entities, (One for input, output, etc) to reduce lag.

    I have both Mek and Rotarycraft ore setups while yeilds are higher for rotarycraft on average I find Mek to be eaiser client side. The problem with Rotarycraft is not just one issue it's been the cause of as many problems if not more than Chocolate Quest.

    Multiblock RF Storage would be nice, provided that the textures used follow existing TE styling!

    Multiblock energy cells :D using lead/electrum/ender for the frame and liquid redstone or a new liquid or carbon blocks to fill it?

    pneumatic craft would be an awesome addition, and I think we should dump mariculture RC maybe IC2? Because Rotary craft is buggy, I've never seen any one use Mariculture, and we dont need those jetpacks from ic2 no more. We got toniuses!!!! there is also another thaumcraft add on that looks cool I will look it up later.

    Flans Mod ftw, airplanes are the shit. Get rid of RotaryCraft. Keep Mek.

    Spawn build gets announced when we do it. However, last time we were in a crunch to do it quickly, so we built the current spawn in about a weekend.

    Removing mods doesn't make the world incompatible in most cases. The blocks that are removed simply disappear. In the case of Mariculture, the main issue would be the disapperence of the coral at the bottom of oceans. Empty voids would fill the space of those blocks.

    We have Thaumic Tinkerer (without KAMI). We had bee production in previous versions of Alice, but this modpack version has minimal ore generation / automining, so bees are currently not a thing.

    Ars Magica bypasses any protection, not that it's alone in this, but rather so many of its features do so. It could be reconsidered, however.

    Igneous Extruders were disabled by the modpack team because there are much faster ways of producing cobble, but few people know about them, so it's not really solving the problem.

    I was told by the modpack team that OpenBlock tanks were known to be fairly server-intensive, so they were disabled. I do not know if that is still the case.

    We're not going to remove any major mods as that would break too many things. Most of the mods take up a small percentage of the load up time, so we'd have to remove several mods to make a dent on that.

    An exception, however, is Simply Recycling. 14% of load time is caused by that mod, so we can remove that mod if no one has any objections. It adds reverse crafting recipes for various tools such as pickaxes, allowing you to smelt them back to raw materials.

    Removing IC2 would cause the loss of Gravisuits and Advanced Machines. Are people OK with that?

    We'll be looking into this mod.

    Extra Cells was super buggy back then, according to the MPT. However, we can try adding it now.

    We are probably not going to remove RC.

    Flan's was super buggy the last time I tested (in MC 1.4 though). tonius tested it recently and reached the same conclusion.

    It can be considered.

    I will kind of miss Ic2 but if it speeds up my Pc Then hell yes

    All though I do love this mod, if it were to be added, I think it should it should be nerfed I was playing with it in a mod pack and it was REALLY easy for me to get very over powered in a matter of a few hours.

    It was most likely because you had a certain set of recipes on - it has different recipes to go with different mods, back in 1.5 we used the GT recipes which of course were pretty hard...
