I was on the server not even 8 hours ago, I slept my computer, and now I can't get the client to launch at all. This is all I get before it brings up the launcher again. Code: The game is running. Please wait. Tried that, too. Force update, deleted everything but my map waypoints and reinstalled... pretty much all the basic troubleshooting.
You are allocating way too much RAM to Minecraft and PermGenSpace (N/A in Java 8 though), which can sometimes be detrimental. Probably not your problem here, but I would recommend reducing the allocation of memory to 2 or 3GB at most (PermGenSpace should be less than 512MB). The log is not giving an error however and saying the game exited normally. I would recommend trying a reinstall of SKCraft if you haven't already.
OK, I know this may be a *slight* necro, but I ran across this issue myself with Oracle java 8. I had a crash, and then next thing I know, I couldn't launch at all with 8, but java 7 worked fine. I was using the JRE as well. Force update did not work at all (even a hard force update). I tried compiling OpenJDK 8 to see if that would help, but it did not. The only thing that eventually worked was removing the "Alice 1.6 Deux" folder to a backup location and having the launcher completely redownload everything.
