I was starting to do a setup that involved tanks and I wanted to use that tank that open blocks has but it wasn't in the search bar or anything so I asked around and the people said it was disabled I was wondering why and if it will always be disabled? I really like that tank and hope we could use it in the future. thanks for your time!
OpenBlocks tanks, while nice, were a lag issue. The block-to-block communication was done per block for the entire structure, and their design encouraged large structures. Tanks are cheap, pretty... and coded in a manner that costs 10 to 100x as much server CPU as equivalent storage from other liquid storage.
As a substitution you can try to use the "Fluid Tanks" of Mariculture, although I'm not sure if they run off the similar mechanics of being easily expandable.
Was it for decoration instead of holding capacity? If it was decoration there is a block, I think called the fluid decorative block(Or display block), or something along those lines, that is a solid block and you can right click it with a bucket of fluid for it to display the texture of the fluid. If it was for storage, I would go drums, they hold a lot for one block (256 buckets)
it was for looks partially but I wanted the tank to expand horizontally and vertically not just vertical the bc tanks but ill check out the drums thanks!
