When I am trying to dial a portal from my dial device, it gives me and anyone who uses the dial device in the area to get disconnected with Internal Server Error. As well, the portal does not properly close. With the Dial Device, it will not close in the set time frame, but with the Basic Dial Device, after breaking and replacing a block in the portal it still thinks the portal is active, therefore rendering it useless. Nothing shows up in the log, except for an end of stream. Base coords are 3754, -6357 XZ for any mod wishing to recreate the situation because no crash logs. Weird, because the OpenBase portal is working fine for me. EDIT: Leo also made a portal of his own with his own dial device and still disconnected within the same area.
Lord, try to be sure having your portal, frame, modifier and dial device in the same chunk, and tell if it fixes the issue.
Moved everything into the same chunk, still didn't work as intended EDIT: Just tried changing orientation, didn't do much either. Neither did filling in all corners.
I'm not sure why, but it happens to some people including me. People who have quartz frames have no problems as far as I know, but nolan has an obsidian one and it doesn't happen to him. It's very annoying, but is fixed temporarily by a server restart.
I have an obsidian frame and I used to have this problem. I also had it at the quartz frame in the OpenBase. I no longer have disconnects when I dial. The only thing I changed was updating to latest version of Java 64bit (the one mentioned in announcements recently). So... have you folks tried that?
This has been fixed now. Some setting on the server was set wrong, not allowing the dial devices to load chunks in order to work properly.
How frustrating! I was playing just fine and activated my portal thinking it was fixed.. Got end of stream, can't reconnect because of Mojang's silliness.
