YES! This is amazing! I totally think unlimited energy and resources are the best thing ever. When the server tanks because all my friends are running 20 quarries each, SK needs to get a better server and that will fix all the lags. /s EDIT: As soon as I submitted this, I immediately regretted it. Please, no automining. Not with turtles, with quarries, with arcane bores, nor laser drills. It's just. Not. Conducive. To. Fun. It might be great for people who love to tech up and "win" at tech progression (!?!) but if you want to do that just play single player so you won't have to be inconvenienced by other people not liking huge open pits. People forget that there's more to Minecraft than simply mining for stuff. It's what you craft, what you build, what you create with that stuff that really proves you're a master player.
Breaks down to different playstyles. Some people indeed are done with the game when they made the rarest item. Don't frown them for that.
Okay. SOOOOOO. If you don't like automining don't do it, but honestly yes it's called MINEcraft yet that doesn't mean it has to be all manual mining. Those mods were made and added those machines to serve their purpose to make it easier to gather resources. Yes Vanilla Minecraft doesn't have machines to automine, but this isn't vanilla... This is a ModPack. It lost a lot of it's shine and it seems that metals spawn rate changed.... idk I liked automininbg and sad to say Greg-Tech...

I love the idea of having to mine for everything you want rather than simply setting up a quarry. And with the Tinkers Construct hammers it makes it just as good if not better than a quarry. However, the only issue I have with this new way is I get extreme amounts of block lag. That makes mining for me just a complete pain when it takes 5 seconds or more to get through one layer of rock and then have to go through 40 more layers just to find the gold I need. It's a real nuisance, but other than the lag I get from this I think manual mining is a great idea.
So you're saying the only reason to play modded minecraft is to automate mining and if you can't do that, it's not worth it? NOW I got the goal of modded mc .
A little sarcasm does not a troll make. Automated mining is not of central importance to a single mod on the server. There are no machines that require massive resource gathering. Probably the single most expensive mod (in terms of resources) is Gravitation Suite, and I've built several of the items it offers without much trouble.
