    You will be prompted to update upon launching the game.
    • Added Statues 2.1.1
    • Added SmallBoats 0.10.6
    • Updated Thaumcraft to 4.1.0f
    • Updated Gravitation Suite to 1.9.9a
    • Updated ProjectRed to 4.3.2.26
    • Enabled ProjectRed's Compat module, allowing more effecient ways of producing Red Alloy
    • Enabled a proxied ComputerCraft HTTP API
    • Added a way of obtaining Nether Stars
    • Fixed client crash caused by placing three blocks of wool in a crafting grid
    • Fixed Induction Smelter recipe for manyullyn ingots
    • Made RotaryCraft Mercury Items interchangeable with Thaumcraft Quicksilver
    • Better Grass and Leaves Mod configs will now be ignored when updating

    I just fixed it, for some reason my system was still trying to use openjdk 6 instead of 7, are you on linux?

    I don't think there is anything the MPT can do, from what I can tell technic and the b-team modpack have this same issue, and openjdk 7 fixes it.

    It looks like you are running on Java 6 anyway. Do you have Java 7 installed?

    I'm running OS X, and I updated to Java 7 which fixed the error that Nolan had, but now I crash with the following error. Any ideas?

    Edit: Never mind, I decided do a completely fresh install of the Alice files and it seems to work fine now.

    my problem was that the older java versions were interfering with the java 7 so just needed to uninstall the old ones

    After I updated, I tried logging on. But it just reopened the launcher.

    Still no good, I tried everything suggested.
    I get null pointer errors right before the main screen comes up.

    Try increasing permgen memory to 256, and if you can give alice 2 gigs instead of one.

    "Unsupported major.minor version 51.0" means that something in the modpack was made with Java 7, but you have Java 6, so see if you can update to Java 7.

    Can you post the error?

    It's moaning about being out of memory, but I still have plenty left when it crashes. Odd.

    Edit: Also have no luck increasing memory size (but I am on an x86 with 2 gigs).

    At this point I have :
    -Installed Java 7 update 51
    -Uninstalled Java 6
    -Reinstalled Alice twice (not fun on my lame internet)
    What am I missing?

    Try these settings in the options:
    1. Min + Max heap/memory: 800
    2. Java argument: -Xss 128k

    Is there a link for the Java 7? I see like 10 different kinds...
    and I was never prompted for an update
