Currently Alice automatically installs to my HDD(my 5400 rpm HDD), and I see to way to change the installation directory. Is there anyway to change this?

    1. Copy the folder My Documents\SKCraft Launcher to a different place
    2. Place the launcher (the one that you downloaded) into that directory
    3. Make a file called portable.txt with no or any content in that directory
Running the launcher will use that directory.

Just to say even with a decent computer there was negligible difference between the loading times when using a hdd, ssd and ramdisk. To be perfectly honest it's not really worth it.

Not necessarily on a 5400 rpm disk.
