We would like to push the update / rebalance as soon as possible; however, I'm currently pretty busy this weekend (and the following week), and today's power outage that also fried my computer's power supply did not help, so the timeline for the update has been somewhat complicated. That said, The goal is still release this weekend and as early as possible. Before we go forward with the update, we have to pre-generate the world, but I'm expecting (and hoping) that it will be completed within the next 12 hours. We will have to defer some mods until I can deal with some of their associated issues (Twilight Forest, and so on). For some mods that we really wanted to add, they appear to have some critical bugs that are not yet fixed. While we could possibly fix those ourselves, that will have to wait as well. In the mean time, those mods will have to wait. We may not be able to move over the builds until this coming Thursday or Friday, pending my availability. In the mean time, you still have to find a place to live, and you can begin exploring the new mods. If all things fall into place correctly, we should be up and running within the next 15 hours.
Very nice, sry to hear about the PC problem. When you're ready to do so, will there be mods dedicated to moving bases over, or will it be whenever they have time? Because I feel if it isn't considered a responsibility, we may end up with a bottleneck on the base transfers, and that could slow up a lot of people's period of transition. Also, how accurate will the base transfer be? can it be pinpointed? because a lot of my base's structure uses the f9 chunk boundaries as a guideline, and if it doesn't line up when copied, it could throw the whole thing out of whack. I'd rather it was measured twice and cut once to avoid problems, and other people may have similar issues. If half of these bases I've seen in the screenshots are any indication, it would probably behoove any mod/admin to take alignments and boundaries very seriously so as not to offend the OCD gods.
It's time to do that "Going out of Existence" sale in my Bazaar shop. I think this will be an ongoing process that mods will deal with when they have the time. Don't expect to quickly have your base copied over. Start a temporary base, and start gathering resources, because even if a base is copied over, it will not include machines or valuable blocks.
