We're looking for anyone that may be interested in joining the modpack team. You would be helping with creating the modpack, choosing mods, and so on. It does not require much technical knowledge, though you should have a decent computer. If you are interested, please send me a PM detailing the amount of experience that you have with the mods.
It was a book, before it was a movie. And, as a silly detail you likely don't care about: the first book was better than the movie, but the second and third books were poor in comparison, so I wouldn't be surprised if the later movies improve upon the books.
On a different note, I would be happy to help with the modpack, if you would have me. I'm a programmer; though I can't write Java I can read it, I'm quite familiar with data structures, and I don't mind tedious editing to things like recipes. On the downside, I have a slow computer (4-7fps in the Bazaar, 5 minute boot up level slow).
The gamemaker in Catching Fire didn't die. In fact, he saved Katniss, along with others. That is the beginning of the uprising. (Spoiler Alert!)
The gamemaker from the first movie/book dies, yes. But the second movie/book the gamemaker helps Katniss with the uprising and saves her.
Word of advice to anyone applying for the modpack team. do not write your application at 5am, when you can barely keep your head from smacking your keyboard and passing out {true story}
