Unfortunately they're a large religious group and therefor have the loudest whining voice. As for the employer's belief thats a moot point, I meant if the organization itself is religiously based, not if jimbo johnson head of company X is himself religious.
So what? Religion is not a "100% this way and everything else is wrong"-situation. There are many christians who use contraceptives... and if you don't want to use them, don't use them. But everyone should have the possibility to get it. Well ... i don't think that this would be a good idea anyway ... because some employees would find a way around... better let doctors hand them out to every us-citizen.
Well the thing I'm meaning is that religious groups should not be ruled by the government and vice versa. But yea its just a hard thing either way. LETS GET RID OF RELIGION!
religious groups should not be ruled by a government? so when i say i'm satanist, i can slice you and eat you with some mashed potatoes. seems legit.
That however falls under the grounds of assault. However I can turn that around and any laws made because someone had their religious feelings hurt by bad language or such should be repealed. I still say we get rid of religion.
No one should have religious convictions forced on them, by the government, or by another person. The point of this law is to make it so that employers cannot force their religious convictions on others. The employer is not forced to take contraceptives, only provide others the opportunity. On the hand of the governments interference in religion, I think that this should only go so far as to protect an individuals right to choose their own convictions. For the Satanist example, a law against assault does not mention religion, so a statement like that would be easy to refute. If laws against assault did mention religion then there's something wrong.
I don't think it's such a big deal if the organization is run in some religious way. It's understandable why they wouldn't want to pay for something they don't believe in, and in that case employees could just pay for contraception with their normal wages. You dog, you.
I don't think it should be required. I do disagree with the entire government shoving required healthcare down our throats here in the US. Sure we will probably all need it one day, however the issue shouldn't fall onto that alone. Our issue is that Health care is so expensive with no bias as to why. They charge whatever they want to charge us. I would be a fan of a centralized healthcare system such as every other super power has. Our capitalist system is so screwed up here. Just think about the RIAA and MPAA and their influence on our government. Looks like I am ranting off topic. I think that people should be held responsible for their own decisions. A guy should wrap it and a girl should get her own contraceptive if they wish to sleep with half of the city.
Contraceptives doesn't mean that a girl is a whore If you have/had a longtime GF you know what i mean...
If she has a steady relationship then her boyfriend can wrap it and she can make love to him on her own dime. Its not like people are forcing the issue of insurance buying condoms for men. Also, I am pro-choice so slips ups can be addressed anyway.
I believe that if a woman wants contraceptives, she should have free access to them. Who is to tell a woman what to do with her body?
