So as you probably know, EnhancedPortals is now up to Beta 4, and we're still using Beta 2d. The recent updates have fixed bugs and rewritten blocks, as well as making the ComputerCraft API work. (IMO CC API is an integral feature) The full changelog is here http://shadeddimensions.co.uk/enhancedportals-3/changelog/ but I will copypasta some for convenience. Beta 3b: Fixed Placing special frame blocks down while wearing goggles is now more responsive – they won’t take a few seconds to realise you’re wearing the glasses. Redstone Interface now correctly updates its texture when you’re wearing the glasses. The Biometric Identifier will now correctly become part of the portal structure. Beta 3: Fixed Fixed client-side issue where it would look like you placed a block when activating the Dialling Device. Fixed crash issue with stabilizers. Potential fix for crash issue regarding using an item on the Dialling Device. Fixed Issue #59. You can no longer dial a portal that has a network interface from one that has a dialling device. You can still dial to portals that have neither from a portal with a dialler. The main DBS block will now correctly update it’s “dumb” blocks when it’s destroyed first, deforming the structure. The DBS will now correctly terminate any active connections if you destroy the main block first. If you teleport to a horizontal portal with a solid block above it, you will no longer be placed inside that block. Fixed issue where if you clicked ‘save’ with the same UID it would think it’s already being used and be reset to nothing. Changed Rewrote GUIs. On any GUI screens with scroll panels, you can now use your mouse scroll wheel and there is now a scroll bar to the right of the panels. Elements inside have been changed to single-click to activate, as there is now multiple ways of scrolling. [Dial Device] Made the buttons slightly taller. [Dial Device] Added tooltips for texture & remove buttons. [DBS] Moved RF information into a tab. Added RF/t display in addition to RF/s. [Particle Texture] Changed how the different particle types are displayed. Moved them into categories. Added tooltips over the category titles for more detailed information. [Frame/Portal Texture] The facade slot is disabled if a custom texture is selected. Will stop users from getting confused why the facade isn’t working. [Portal Controller] Condensed Portal Components panel and you can now hover over the item to get a tooltip of what that component is. [Biometric Identifier] Completely overhauled the GUI. Rewrote connected texture code. It’s now a lot faster, and supports inner corners. Updated connected textures: Added inner corners for portal frames. Updated portal module texture: Changed parts to gold, to match the recipe. You only need a wrench to form the Dimensional Bridge Stabilizer. You can now open its GUI without one. Bumped up Dimensional Bridge Stabilizer’s energy storage by 50% per row. (15k RF instead of 10k) Improved portal & frame renderer. Removed TESRs. (Improving performance significantly if you have an incredibly large amount of portals/frames in one area/have a low-end PC Lighting issues have been fixed. The DBS/Portal Frame will only use connected textures when it has been formed. Massively lowered chance to get portal modules inside of dungeon chests. Tweaked crafting recipes, uses less diamonds. You no longer have to use the EP wrench, any Buildcraft-compatible wrench will work. The redstone interface can now only create/remove a portal every 250 milliseconds. Through normal use, this shouldn’t affect anything. Rewrote Biometric Identifier. The access list is now more predictable, entries lower on the list overwrite ones higher up. For example, if you have ‘Players’ disabled near the top, then below that ‘Alz454′ enabled, it’ll disable every player except for Alz454. But if it’s the other way around – then all players will be disabled, even Alz454. The highest instability will now spit you out at the spawn point in the Nether, if it’s enabled. If not, it’ll put you at the spawn point of the dimension you’re in. Removed Removed CoFHCore requirement. Swapped out for my own library. Removed all references of The Crimson & it’s mobs. Removed Ethereal frame upgrade. The transparency/glow is no longer possible without custom renderers. It wasn’t worth keeping custom renderers/increased performance cost for one upgrade. Removed all custom renderers for items. Removed all unused configuration options. Removed receiving list for Biometric Identifiers. It now uses the same list for sending and receiving. Added Added recipe for decorative stabilizer. You will now be notified of why it didn’t create the portal, if you use a dialler. With redstone interfaces, it will find the closest player within 128 blocks and notify them. Added config option to enable the frame type overlays without wearing the glasses. You can now dismantle portal frames by sneak-clicking with a Crescent Hammer or an EP wrench. Added Computercraft support. The Portal Controller, Dialling Device and Network Interface are peripherals. (See the Computercraft API page)
