Yeah, a torrent might be good so there's no single point of failure, and you don't need to upload files twice to mirror them. Me, punk, and whoever else can also combine all of our b/w instead of using just one
Considering that box.com has very low bandwidth limits (Personal+25GB, Personal+50GB, Business or Enterprise accounts), I doubt it'll be an option.
We could use the pirate bay and utorrent. How it works:There are seeders and leachers. seeders have the full file and are uploading it to leachers. leachers are downloading the file and are not uploading. once a download is finished, the leecher becomes a seeder. the file uploads as long as utorrent is open. if utorrent is closed,no seeding/uploading. It is reccomended that you use ipreadator or the download will take a while. All we need is someone willng to host the file at the start, when there is only one seeder to host the file. If someone could seed 24/7 that would be great.
pirate bay HELL no ! this will be a private torrent if it ever happens! I never shut down my computer its up 24/7 unless i restart or do windows updates ! and trust me i know a few things about torrents Uploaded10.792 TB Downloaded3.125 TB Share ratio78.725
The proposals that have been made to me by people have not made further contact to provide me with any info. Since I have it on my computer and have reasonable upload speed it will be best if Someone can give me temp FTP or something.
1) we know how torrents work 2) why would we put the map for our private-ish server on the pirate bay
It appears that I have done a derp and lost the world file from my computer. So I am repacking it and downloading as we speak. I think that I may remove the nether, end and mining world since these are not important and it will help streamline the process. Depending on the final file size I was going to split into 500mb chunks using WinRAR.
It is happening I promise. Just need to do some final checks with sk89q then I can start uploading it!
