This is the whole purpose of the spawn portal hub we are coding... Edit: I just noticed the date this was posted..
Relevant, yes, to an extent. The original purpose of this thread will be unneeded once the hub is completed, but people can still post their codes here if they want it to be known to the public. One of the main features of the portal hub is the ability to be able to dial someone without knowing their code, and should they ever decide to, the player that created the portal in the database list will be able to delete it, while not having to change their portal code.
I think it will be more relevant again with the next map reset. Granted, that'll be a while, but it will happen eventually. People will likely keep their codes but you'd have to make a new portal hub. But what about the people who don't visit the forum...? Heh, that portal hub isn't that bad after all, even though I didn't like the idea at first. Also, a googledocs spreadsheet would be better than this thread, because here you have to wad through several pages of overly large forum posts instead of a nice and clean list with only name and code.
Once the code is completed, it can be reused over any map reset. All that has to be done is rebuild the location, which only takes an hour or so
