As you know, we have had a fair number of network issues over the past month, and it is entirely due to blame on our data center. The only fix is to move out of the data center, but of course, powerful servers capable of running Alice do not come cheap. Ironically, moving outside the data center means a larger number of concurrent players (as a result of better network connectivity), meaning we have to deal with even more people, therefore requiring even more resources. We're ready to hop out to another server when opportunity arises (the last server move had less than a minute of downtime), and so if you've been unable to get on, or have not had great connectivity, be aware that it's still on our mind. We had some plans from a month ago towards acquiring a new system with a better processor, but as the relevant parties have become a little busy, things have been severely pushed back. In the best case scenario, we might be able to move over in a few weeks, so hold tight.
"If you're been" anyways, sounds good. I myself haven't been having ping issues, but if this will fix some of the block lag, great! Thanks SK and "relevant parties"
who is the "we" in that post? i thought you (sk) were the ultimate authority in these things or do you have a superior or equal?
"We" could also imply the player base, to add onto hsun's reply. Also, a quote of the entire OP is unnecessary, unless you quote a specific sentence, etc. I don't know if this is a standard here, but it makes things look better, even if I'm being a format nazi.
