Needs diamond gears instead. or maybe introduce something like iridium gears? And can you make it to take a book with a special enchant on it, like efficiency 5? that would be challenging actually. otherwise, people with fusion can do this shit in no time.
Those gears are Iridium Gears. We'll consider the enchantment idea, although I think that enchantments can be done in no time too by people with Fusion Reactors. Thanks to MFR.
What I'm saying is make the recipe as follows: Sunarium, Matterfab, Sunarium Hi adv block, Hard enchanted book, Hi adv block Irid gear, Matterfab, Irid gear. I think this recipe make it more manageable by the majority of players but also harder for the richer players. Also I'm not sure (don't quote me on this) but I don't think the tome does not get used up when making alkahest. I shall do some experimenting.
Manageable by the majority but harder for the richer? That's a contradiction. Also, enchanted books can't be used, the recipe originally was going to include several of them. There is a bit reason behind the requirements of the recipe - You need 144 irid, which is almost half of what's required for a Fusion, the Chrome, Ti, and Tungsteel which means you need to have the hottest blast furnace, and most of all the matterfab because it creates things out of a base material. Just like how you need redstone or lapis to "amplify" what you get.
hmm I have an idea that may solve some problems. It could be difficult but if you could make whatever recipe you choose craft something that can be implosion comped into the tome, it would make it require players to be far enough to make a comp.
