The major difference between all other servers and SKCraft, in this situation, is the lack of an economy plugin. We have no money. When servers reset maps, it is due to the fact that there are blocks/items unobtainable otherwise. Other servers get around this by setting said items for sale in the market. I find this a fallacy, because unless you play the modded server extensively, for days, if not weeks, you cannot truly judge the values of said items, and that causes a ton of balance issues. On the other hand, my issue with SKCraft, if that issue purely entails the inclusion of gregtech, is this.... It makes it so hard, and so arduous that the key point in playing is getting gravi/quantum aromor. People are less interested in making the grandiose, amazing, and breathtaking structures that minecraft is known for. Even myself after this last reset, I worked so hard, and even with all the difficulty ahead of me, I reached "end game" fairly quickly, and thus after I reached that, I am tired, exhausted, and bored, wishing no longer to build the grandiose structures that I am know for on other servers. This is not due to map resets, this is just due to how hard it is to get to a point where I can build what I want to build easily. I would love to have a permanent map... but in the current mincecraft situation, this is just not possible.
The only good things in yesterdays snapshot is the acheivements, the rest is meh and I don't like some of it. Although, something i have been waiting for since ALPHA is the flint & steel SHAPELESS!!!! YESSSS
