Alice is currently down because our server host is doing maintenance. I do not have an ETA. We will be moving hosts soon though.
Here is the relevant email: ---- Dear Joe's Datacenter Customer, As a valued customer, Joe's DC is committed to keeping you informed about any changes in the status of your service with us. This email is to alert you regarding maintenance we will be performing on our facility. The building has informed us that "Oak Tower is scheduled to have a power outage for switch gear maintenance Saturday, February 25, 2012, from 6am to 6pm. During this time the main gear will be load tested and cleaned, the building will have no power.". We have decided to use this time to do maintenance to our network and power equipment as well. I have been informed after discussions with the building that the maintenance may be completed before the end of the maintenance window in which case service will be restored at that time. I understand this is a inconvenience and have been assured this is a one time necessary maintenance procedure and once done will increase the reliability of the building power. Some services will remain up such as the network equipment an d our website/support site so we can remain in contact with our customers. Our virtual servers should remain up with only a brief outage for some necessary upgrades and then they will be restored. We are asking all customers to shut down your equipment at 5:45 - 5:50 anything left on after this we will shut down by our staff as gracefully as possible. Start time: Saturday, February 25, 2012 6:00am Central Time End time: Saturday, February 25, 2012 6:00pm Central Time Expected Outage/Downtime: 8 hours Our staff will be closely monitoring the work and will do everything possible to minimize any inconvenience to you. Unfortunately the building elevators will be down at this time as well so we are not allowing customers on site. If you have any problems with your connection after this time, or if you have any questions regarding the maintenance at any point, please customer support. We appreciate your patience during this work and welcome any feedback. Thank you for being a Joe's DC customer.
