Its been rumored that reis causes memory leaks and its for more superior to reis. it has a nether render which is very useful and admins can jump around to places easier. also no memory crashes hopefully.
I would like to see this minimap [Voxel] as well. I don't know about the technical side, but from a user standpoint it is far superior to the REI's minimap. It looks good and to me, feels less chunky.
Links to the minecraft forums for either of these? Also where is the proof of rei's causing memory leaks or whatnot, rumors aren't good to go by unless we have the proof on them.
theirs is no problem with reis the voxel box whom i assume your referring to when you say voxel actually use reis not there own mini map unless that recently changed; this would also cause a lot of problems with way points having to be changed over or re mapped needlessly.
Zen's minimap works also. Theta uses it instead of reis. I was under the impression that minimaps are client side as things like slime chunks would have to be enabled server side.
I think Rei's will be removed from the server to be replaced by Zan's but I'm not completely sure... (they're both in the test build but from what I hear Rei's is going)
Both. As sk said. They will be in the client and you can choose which want you want, seeing as some people prefer reis over zans. At least that's what I would except.
