Here is what I see happening Sk updates the server people complain whine, and moan. For about three weeks to a month, after which it's business as usual. How do I know this? Because of what happened when we updated GregTech.
Well that you're bored is not a problem of the mods. Most likely it's that you can't boost yourself further in the game and you just want to fill that hole with new content and a new start, so you can get away from that problem. I have that experience from my SSP world and I'm now almost around 225+ mods and hell I have so much content, but even with that I got bored at some point (and I wasn't even near end game too). It works for a short period of time, but then it drops again :/ Just to make this clear: I also would love an update! I want more biomes, MFR and all the new stuff too, but I'm not the person who can focus on just the awesome things. I don't want to upset anyone, nor do I want to destroy the anticipation for an update.
A brave new world for men and women to conquer carrying some stuff from their past, for me that sounds lovely. If we as humans learned to read and accept change as chance instead of fearing it, oh we would be far in the galaxy, but we dont, therefore fear of having to work again to make crap anew is spreading like wildfire, mates, Sk and team said they would do everything possible to allow you to keep your "10x10 chunks". The thing with RP is out of our hands since eloraam waits for people to start begging on her door. so lets chill and when the tide comes, relax, since the stiff tend to drown.
improved server as in: one main mod less means more tps (probably) but the main reason for getting rid of it are faster updates. It's always redpower that is 1 month later published than other mods so we can't update before that. And updates mean a more stable server. Sooooo ... let the whining begin. imho.
Hmm, I see your point there. Now I understand what you mean with improved server. Eloraam really needs way too long to update and she doesn't want to get help either (how it seems). But currently IC2 doesn't reached a stable build too and they are changing parts of the API in current builds, so addons might break too.
I'd say I'm mid game because I can still come up with projects to do, granted I'm taking my time. However one of my end goals is to stop selling wood in the bazzar and add a teleport to the lumber yard I'm working on so people get get wood for creative builds free.
I really think everything (removing RP2, new biome generator, new spawn) should wait until the next world reset, whenever everyone wants it.
If this does happen then can sk make it so that the biomes are somewhat like the previous ones? Ie if I live in a shrub biome could you make the regenned chunks the biomes o plenty equivalent? So shrub is plains and I don't get a huge mountain crag next to my house
So far, all the biomes have been mapped from ExtraBiomesXL to Biomes o' Plenty so the biomes of existing chunks will more or less stay the same.
Question: If we are able to do the "keep" command later, we will be able to put items into a ME drive and be able to keep those items after the new update? This of course wouldn't work for any RP2 items.
I don't really think I've been here long enough to have a say in this. But Biomes o' Plenty looks EPIC. Has it been implemented?
What, I didn't say anything stupid.... Nothing ever happened.... We're here to protect you... But yeah. Somehow I missed that part lol. And still, are all the other mods ready?
